A huge thank you to Rob Stinchcombe for organizing the successful Triples Gala. Well done Rob! He even made sure that I did not rain.

And a massive thank you to Pat and Anna for the catering. What an excellent lunch that was had by all. Thank you to those who operated the bar, those who donated prizes for the raffle, and to Roger for his behind-the-scenes work.

The two pools of teams produced some close and some not-so-close matches, with interesting results. However, Tim's triple won Pool 1 on shots difference thanks to Mark's triple defeating Brian's. The cheques are in the post, Mark, Bryan, and Tom.

In Pool 2, Roy's triple won all three matches to top the pool. In Pool 2, Brian's triple came second in Pool 1, and Pete's triple was second in Pool 2.

Brian's triple had a good win in the 3rd/4th playoff, defeating Pete's triple, to come 3rd overall.

In the final, Tim's triple made an excellent start to pick up 6 on the first end. After that, it was tricky for Roy's triple to get back in the game. Tim's team triumphed with a 12-3 win after the seven ends. Commiserations to Roy, Brad, and Andy.

Congratulations to Tim, Malc, and Paul, who received the Aylward Cup from Marlene.

PS Brian won the "spider" and the bottle of whisky.
