Almost one year after the devastating flooding caused by Storm Bert, Malmesbury Bowls and Social Club narrowly escaped disaster from flooding caused by Storm Claudia.

On Friday 14th November 2025, the rapid rainfall from Storm Claudia caused a flash flood in the Malmesbury area. If the rain had continued for one or two more hours, our club house would have been flooded. The green and tehe car park were flooded, however the floodwater did not carry as much debris and sediment as last year, so the cleaning up operation will be quicker this time.

The club house is back in operation with skittles games, bingo nights and quiz nights going ahead as scheduled.
