Malmesbury Bowls and Social Club Ltd. is very grateful for a grant from Sport England for the restoration of our artificial green after the flooding last November.

Whilst our clubhouse and outbuildings were covered by our insurance policy for flooding, the artificial green was not covered.

Our band of volunteers cleaned away the sludge that was left on the green after the flooding. Upon inspection by Dales, the supplier of the artificial green, it was necessary to make some repairs. This involved rolling back the carpet and leveling some areas of the green.

This work could not have been completed without the support of Sport England. Thanks to our volunteers and Sport England, we are ready for the 2025 season.

The clubhouse refurbishment is close to completion. A new outbuilding has been installed to replace three damaged sheds. The visitors' changing room has been cleaned and is ready for use now.

Through the efforts of the club members, we have been able to fulfill all skittle fixtures for the 2024/2025 season. Thank you to all those who have helped with the repairs and with operating the bar.

The clubhouse will be transformed after the refurbuishment with a brighter, lighter interior, new blinds, sliding doors, and display refrigerators for the bar.

Let us hope that we are not flooded again like last November.
