Congratulations to

Rob Stinchcombe for winning the Novice competition, many years after his first attempt. Well done to Mark Clarke who took the game to the final end and could have easily won it.

Brad Burne for winning the Men's Handicap competition. Again, this was a closely fought game, so commiserations to Mike Smith. It was a long game played out over 2 1/2 hours

Malc Curtis for winning the Senior Shield. This was a very competitive game until Paul Lucas made a couple of mistakes.

Other Competitions

Paul Lucas lost to Jeremy Haselton (Chippenham Town) in the National Senior Singles (over 55s) on Sunday morning, 29 May. This was a very competitive game but some mistakes by Paul allowed Jeremy to win by 21-19.

In the National Senior Fours (Over 55s), Alan, Paul, Mark, and Bryan traveled to Westlecot to play a very strong four skipped by Neil Smith. On a cold, windy evening, the Malmesbury four put in a good performance and were 9 all after 9 ends. Unfortunately, there was one end where they let Westlecot score a 6, so the final score was 23-15. Despite the shots score, the Malmesbury four won more ends than Westlecot. It was a great learning experience for all four players.
